Empty weapon switch disallow push

Convulse has had this ♥♥♥♥ since 1999, why is at that place no option or push to disable or disallow empty weapon switching. i dont desire to swap to my empty GL or empty power weapon mid crucible gun fight.

Why are you lot switching to an empty weapon? You just gave to get into the habit of non doing information technology. You're crutching on it.

I've never had the game forcibly swap weapons liked you're describing, sounds like you're doing it to yourself

I call back OP is mad that they tried switching to a weapon that was out of ammo.

im not sayinga forced swap, its when you scroll through your weapons to flick through to go from primary to secondary and it swaps out to your power weapon. that shouldnt even be a possibility because yous just pull out an empty weapon.

You apply scroll wheel? I simply manually switch to information technology via keybinds. The fact that y'all use scroll wheel explains a lot. I would never recommend ever using that for weapon swapping in any Video Game. Too, deplorable for misinterpreting the event. Having to read hundreds of forums from people who decline to learn basic game mechanics takes a toll on your sanity.

no worries, i was only saying that convulse and TF2, games that are easily 10-twenty years old and running on engines far more dated than that have the option to just disallow empty swapping. i understand the tactical utility of sword peeking and other stuff like that, but its just aggravating. plus ive been using scrollswapping for years simply due to growing playing Q1-iii that way. never had an upshot with swapping in those games because of that option.

Information technology's almost as if the i, ii, three, keys are meant to do something? Hmmmm primary, secondary, and heavy? Nah, tin't exist it!

Yous could solve this issue by not using the whorl bicycle to switch through "bachelor" weapons and instead larn the hotkeys to switch specifically to your kinetic, energy, or heavy.

Go used to using 1, ii and iii on the keyboard, i is kinetic weapon, two is free energy weapon, and 3 is power weapon. Not only volition it avoid the problem but it also gives you the quick precision you need in a pinch instead of hoping that scroll bike works.

I know what op is talking about. Its because of routine that you brand that fault. I play hc and gl and playstyle is to shot gl and apace swap to hc to finish the target. Sometimes when you lot shot gl and push the button to detonate the granade later on relase after billowy it of a wall etc. when its on target you lot than want to bandy to hc but game automaticly does that when you are out of ammo and you cease up switching for empty gl and loose the trade. Its rare but its annoying and its musculus memory reflex to do that. It happens only if you push to detonate because the second you relase to detonate game autoswaps for hc and y'all instinctivly want to too swap and information technology ends swaping back on empty gl. Im using one button swap for kinetic and free energy.
